How To Save A Life
The way the offensive line has been playing, Kevin Kolb would -- to be blunt -- get killed himself. So, in a way, Vick is giving back to society by taking some of the hits -- and escaping the others -- while keeping Kolb from contracting a incurable case of DCS (David Carr Syndrome).
For you non-football people (i.e. females), Google David Carr.

Nice attempt at rationalization. Not buying it, though.
Why don't you just explain to us poor defenseless ladies. My female intuition tells me this David Carr person got mauled in the football field and is now some sort of vegetable.
OMG! spare me!
Whatever happened to this Carr person should happen to Vick three times over!
You really should not be so cavalier about this. I know you think football is a matter of life or death but it is not. Mike Vick is a horrible, terrible person. A man or a woman can figure that out.
Dude, I'm a dude and I'm with you. After this game today, let's keep saving Kolb's life for the rest of the season.
You write a beautiful column about the zoo and come back with this nonsense about a murderer of animals.
Tells us where your priorities are. It's only a game!
Shame on you, sir!
The man paid his debt to society.
And what message does it send to anyone to play an inferior player. If you're going to do that, don't even have Vick on the team. If he is on the team and is the better QB, then what the heck?
Glantz, you wearing a Vick jersey this week on the high school football snippet?
Who saved the lives of those poor innocent dogs?
