Congratulations! If you're here, you have gotten your grubby paws on a ticket to a ringside seat to the ongoing slugfest between the two Gordons. One is a fighter. One is a writer. One day - when the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the ice in our hard hearts is melting and Springsteen is playing on the radio - they will learn to co-exist. Until then, enjoy the carnage!

if you want sterotypes to be used in public discourse, then continue with this.
Weren't you the one decrying how unfair the political system appears to you based on your hertiage (with respect to vp selections)?
So, why would you want to go after somebody else's heritage? Does this make going after your hertiage fair game?
how can you have it both ways? If you don't want to be treated as a stereotype then please don't use them on others.
I may be thin-skinned on this, but as long as there are people who can be insulted by words like yours, when reflected back at your group, please keep your bigotry to yourself and don't encourasge it.
It only creates a cycle of animus.
By the way it appears the Irish will have at least a couple of Bronze medals in boxing.
Is it Joe the Nerd or Joe the Loser? I've been following along with Gordon's blog enough to know that there is humor mixed in to keep us from crying. I'm Irish and couldn't stop laughing. You need to lighten up, Mister!
How are we going to deal with stereotypes if they are NOT used in public discourse?
Are this bronze medals in boxing for real boxing or for bareknuckled bar brawling!

I am sorry, but Gordon's blogs are filled with more than enough prejudice to make me think it goes beyond "laughing with" to "laughing at". He has even admitted he is a bigot in his columns.
You can call me a loser if you want, but I become a loser when I sit silently and accept trash like this. It's not humor, but a potshot.
If the shoe were on the other foot, what type of commentary would there be from the ADL?

Does it matter now? Israel got a medal (see Promised Land), so move on you two bickering idiots!
