Anticipation

Memo to Barack,

I'm not on your e-mail/text message list because I don't want to be harassed by your money hounds as a result of a temporary feeling of being with the "in crowd. Note: I already have been harangued, via door-to-door and on the phone, and I already gave, literally, at the office when I threw my support your way in a recent column.
So this leaves me sitting here in limbo, wishing and hoping you do the right thing (Hillary Clinton) or the next best thing (Joe Biden) but fearing the worst (that phony Bill Richardson). All I know is that, with your candidacy losing momentum faster than the Phillies season, you better make this big build-up to your VP choice worth the drama you've created. It's actually a little silly now - going around grinning like you know something no one else does - and shows a little bit of immaturity. Get with it, my man. I'm trying real hard to get into the spirit of this thing, don't blow it.

Talk to ya later,
G2

I know it's not to going to happen, but I still think he should pick Hillary. It provides the best chance of winning. If he doesn't do it, it proves to me what I suspected all along. He proves he is an egomaniac more concerned with himself than getting the Democrats back in the Oval office.

He owes Hillary nothing. He won the nomination and is free to pick who he choose. He is not a slave picking cotton on the Clinton Plantation.

This is why McCain is going to end up winning in a walk. You are still a house divided.

At this time of the year - right before a Presidential Election - everyone is getting a little silly. This will not go away until after the "D" and "R" Conventions are over and we are faced with the REAL DECISIONS. I noticed the "Six Pack" is up and running early - I'd love to hear their prediction. Hang in their Gordy it will be getting better.

Joe Biden is very good news for all of us in the greater Philadelphia area. When the Obama/Biden team is elected, we will have a voice at the highest level of government.

GG, I know Hillary was your first choice but you've got to be happy about Biden, right?

And the Cabinet Members are??? Hillary is in need of 4 good years of rest (sorry!). New people with good/great ideas are needed with no baggage. Try going out into the business world for the Cabinet Members. Well know individuals are there just waiting for the invitation.

The stale Clintons are gone..Yesterday's news. This is perhaps the most dynamic ticket in my life time. It has it all! Charisma, intelligence, experience, sensitivity, hope... I swear, double the IQ of the worst administration EVA!!Bush/Cheney.

New Jersey...Slow and Steady will win the race for McCain. I can not remember any President since WWW11 that has had to deal with such tragic happenings to the USA than George W. Bush. Kennedy had the "Cold War" and Cuba, Clinton had the "Cole" & the bombing of the "Trade Center" but the "Cold War" was over and he of course did nothing about any conflict but he did raise our taxes and we ended up with a surplus. Bush on the other hand in less than one year in office had the largest attack on USA since Pearl Harbor, followed by Hurricanes, Tornatoes that were worse than the Dusty history when the west was being settled. So, here we go again - If a President is not willing to take care of business as it happens like the "Bush Administration" where will the USA be in 4 or 8 years? Probably owned by another country or we will have Revolution on our hands. McCain is the man - vote!

Richardson will be the guest speaker this evening and Obama will be giving his acceptance speech at the tail end. This was a great convention - we, our family, watched the whole thing on Public TV - now there is a great channel. Our next family TV get-together, noticed I said FAMILY,we will be watching is Republican Convention. I understand McCain will announce his pick for VP on Saturday Night. This convention should be equally interesting when you compare the D vs R. Our family is split - sooo we have no problems that can't be solved here in our living room, wish it were that way with the Federal Government.

Well, the Senator from Del. was a great choice for the Dem. Ticket. Today, the Gov. from Alaska (woman) was the choice for the Rep. Ticket. It seems to place a balance on both tickets (experience/novice).
