The Promised Land

Yesterday, Howard Zinn ("A People's History of the United States"). Today, J.D. Salinger ("The Catcher in the Rye").

The world has lost two great voices, but their impacts live on.

Both forced ordinary people to think outside the box.

Is there any epitaph more great?

"The Catcher In The Rye" by Sallinger was one of the books that was required reading in my Senior Year in HS and of course First Year in college - great book, greater writer - Thank You

What a phoney you are Glantz. Trying to act all intellectual. These books and people like you are the reason this country is beyond moral decay. I would throw both wastes of paper into a bonfire and not lose an ounce of tear over it.
