Couldn't Get It Right

A last supper for the damaged brains of the super delegates (and a moral victory for G2 and the Hill Shills):

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Democratic White House candidate Barack Obama has pulled ahead of Republican John McCain in the latest Gallup voter opinion survey, published Tuesday in USA Today.

Obama lead McCain 47 to 44 percent, in a reversal from Gallup's findings a month ago, which saw McCain ahead of Obama 47 to 45 percent.

Both leads are within the poll's four point margin of error.

Read it and weep, because there is no turning back now:

A MATCHUP PITTING HILLARY CLINTON AGAINST McCAIN SAW THE FORMER FIRST LADY WITH A SHARPER ADVANTAGE OF 49 PERCENT VERSUS 43 FOR THE PRESUMPTIVE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE, GALLUP FOUND.

In case you missed that, let us repeat:

A MATCHUP PITTING HILLARY CLINTON AGAINST McCAIN SAW THE FORMER FIRST LADY WITH A SHARPER ADVANTAGE OF 49 PERCENT VERSUS 43 FOR THE PRESUMPTIVE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE, GALLUP FOUND.

And now for the sobering news:

Obama was favored to win Tuesday's final two primaries in Montana and South Dakota and also to clinch the Democratic nomination, possibly in the same day.

And for what it's worth:

The poll found that 58 percent of Americans have a positive image of Obama, 56 view McCain favorably and 54 have a good opinion of Clinton.

And why we don't need four years of McCain and should have the person with the best chance of beating him in the fall?:

President George W. Bush's approval rating was just 28 percent.

I don't think it's fair to post the results of just one poll as this is clearly misleading. Another poll, released today, shows that Obama is beating McCain by 5 points, with Clinton beating McCain by 4 points. Which poll is correct? Who knows? It's meaningless at this point anyway. These polls will change a thousand times before November.

Clinton needs to deal with it already. She has lost the race, by her own hand. If she would be honest about this, maybe she could actually learn something from it. She'll be lucky if Obama offers her the VP job. Just a couple of months ago (even though Obama was already beating her at the time) she said something about offering Obama the VP job. How full of herself could she possibly be? The Clinton era is, thank God, over.

The Clinton era is over. God just sent back her THANKS to the Reiher family with postage due. She is probably going to be VP and put Obama over the top. He can't do it without her. He knows it, she knows it but people like the Reihers are so consumed with unhealthy hate for Hillary that it borders on insanity.

Pam & Paul... Hil should not be considered for VP. Obama, needs a clear thinking person as his running mate and Hil & Bill need to take a four (4) year vacation. Can't you see her at a news conference when an Iffy decision was made??? Yes, with her head in motion (like yes), but in answering questions as to why a situation may have existed, her remark would go something like this...Well, you had your chance, but of course that is in the past - smiling and you blew it. I would have done it...blab, blab, etc. She will be great on some island, where they do not speak English or as I refer to our language "American". President McCain will be good for all of us. He probably will call on Obama, he understands how this young fellow could help in the change that the Republicans want too.

Did you by any chance have the television on last night? Did you previously hear Hillary say that she would endorse Obama when he hit the required number of delegates for nomination? Her speech was a complete joke and everyone knows it except her blind supporters. There is NO reason to believe that he needs her to win in November, especially after last night.

Try reading something other than HillaryClinton.com for your information. She lost a lot of support last night with her refusal to endorse him and move on. Any Clinton supporter who does not think that last night damaged her reputation within the party is as deluded as they are. Someone please tell me yet again that it's Obama who has been divisive in this campaign. She's an embarrassment.

Dear Reihers,

Try counting to 18 million. That's the number of people who voted for Hillary. Proof positive is that speeches, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I thought here speech was respectful to us who backed her. She didn't need to go crawling on her knees to Obama last night. She kept her dignity, as she has all along with the media firing darts at her. For the record, Obama gave a nice speech as well. It's not his ability to talk his way out of jams that I'm worrying about. It's his ability to deal with them that concerns me. Anyone who doesn't see that he needs her support, and needs it badly, is deluded. Is that you?

18 million is a number that can only be reached with her calculator, to give her what she has decided she deserves, not what she has truly earned.

One poll is not going to convince every Democrat that he needs her to win. There are many Democrats out there today who do not want her, as she represents what she claims to be against - old school Washington. Obama, and this country, needs a clean break.

He won the nomination - it's his choice. We're hoping he turns elsewhere.
